This can include core IPC principles, learning following incidents or outbreaks, and targeted updates when practice or guidance changes.

Flexible IPC support for individual services and organisations operating across multiple sites.
Services can be commissioned individually or combined, depending on what your organisation needs.
IPC Health Checks
A focused on-site review of your IPC arrangements, providing an independent assessment of current practice and where attention may be needed, with CQC readiness in mind.
What’s included:
Pre-visit discussion to agree scope
On-site review of IPC practice and the care environment
Review of relevant documentation and governance arrangements
Discussion with managers and staff
Identification of good practice, risks and gaps
Concise written report with prioritised recommendations
Follow-up call to discuss findings and next steps
Guide price: £495 for one service at one site. Scope and total cost are agreed beforehand. Multi-site reviews are available.
IPC Support & Advice
Access to specialist IPC advice for a specific issue or on an ongoing basis.
This may include:
IPC governance and assurance
Advice during incidents and outbreaks
Policy and procedure review
Environmental IPC and decontamination
Audit findings and improvement work
Interpreting and applying IPC guidance
Identified IPC risks or areas of concern
Ongoing support can be agreed where organisations would benefit from regular access to IPC expertise.
IPC Training & Education
IPC training for health and care staff, developed around the needs of your team and service and informed by current national IPC guidance.
Training can include:
Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs) and Transmission-Based Precautions (TBPs)
Hand hygiene and PPE
Cleaning and decontamination
Outbreak prevention, preparedness and response
IPC responsibilities in practice
Learning following incidents, audits or identified concerns
Updates following changes in IPC guidance
Sessions can be delivered virtually or face to face, with content and format agreed in advance.

I’m Lucy Champion, an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse Specialist with over 20 years’ nursing experience across acute, community and system-level healthcare.
I have worked at Integrated Care Board level, providing specialist IPC support across primary care, care homes and community services. My experience includes infection risk assessment & management, outbreak and incident support, IPC governance and assurance, audit, education and improvement work.
I understand the pressures facing frontline services and the challenge of translating guidance into safe, effective day-to-day practice.
My approach is straightforward: independent specialist input, clear advice and a focus on achievable improvement.
